Jannie Baltzer- Extraordinary Couture Headpieces

Head ornaments can be traced back to the ancient Greeks. The diadem was the forerunner of the tiara (‘Dadein’ meaning to bind around) and the word tiara is actually of Persian origin.  Decorative headpieces have been worn by women all over the world since immemorial time.

Jannie Baltzer is nowadays the person to turn to if you are looking for contemporary, unique, hand-made headpieces.
More and more important fashion blogs like

 and American websites like
 http://www.stylemepretty.com/, http://www.greenweddingshoes.com/ and http://www.weddingchicks/
are praising her wonderful creations!

Jannie is based in Copehagen where she designs her own collections.
Her story as designer and "head-artist" began, when Jannie searched to find the headpiece she had always imagined for her own wedding. It proved to be a difficult search, and therefore Jannie decided to design her own collection.
For her creations she uses luxurious materials such as French lace, silk, Swarovski crystals, ostrich feathers, glass beads, mother of pearls and vintage findings.
Have a look at the pictures below....

I have never met Jannie in person but we have exchanged some emails..and I must say she is really adorable!
