Today a friend of mine, during lunch, mentioned Madame Shou Shou...she didn't remember where the stylist behind the brand is from but she simply said: "go on internet and take a look at Madame Shou Shou bikinis...they are stunning"...well, she was right, wasn't she?
Madame Shou Shou is designed by Elina Kordali, a Greek stylist.... There is no webiste but only a FB page...Bikinis and clothhes are on sale in a number of shops in Greece and only in 3 in Italy...but definitely I want to know more!!
I found out a nice blog run by an American living in Cape Town. She posted a link to these scarves and I find them beautiful. The brand is Block Shop which is an Indian textile company founded by sisters Lily and Hopie Stockman. They work with the Chhipa family of master printers based in Bagru, India, who have been hand block printing with natural dyes for over 350 years.Their textiles are printed one at a time with hand-carved wooden blocks and non-toxic natural dyes on the finest Indian silk-cotton blend. How beautiful are they? http://www.blockshoptextiles.com/pages/about
I feel the spring coming....and I would love to have a hanging garden in my apartment. I find these plants and arrangements by Opus Studio in Cape Town really amazing. I wonder how difficult it is to keep a "hanging garden" like this. The interesting thing is that each plant needs a different amount of water, ventilation and sun...but I would love to give a try.. Searching on ETSY for vintage mugs and trays, I have found the adorable things you can see below! I wonder why I have become so obsessed with vintage...definitely I love the fact that vintage things have been pre-loved and pre-used, they have a story and above all they are unique!!!

It has been a hectic week...I left last Sunday for Copenhagen, I spent 3 days there working, working and working and walking, walking, walking. And ...I also manage to get in touch with Christel who runs a beautiful shop in Copenhagen city center, called Kolonihaven. The shop sells almost everything you think of...but what I like the most of it is that it has a great style (see the red and white stripes on the floor, I love them!), it sells clothes, earings, bags, ceramics and much more by different Danish designers ... and it is so old-style!! The great news is that from this month until the end of April my bags - Mirelle www.mirelle.org - will be on sale there! Thank you Christel for making this possible!! The address is Skoubogade 5 (one street away from Stroget, the main pedestrain and shopping street) and the website www.kolonihaven.com. If you happen to be in Copenhagen....don t miss it!
I virtually met Mafalda through Devina, the lady behind La Societè du Stil.
I say "virtually" because Mafalda and myself have simply exchanged e-mails. The reasons for the emails? Mafada makes beautiful turbans with recycled fabrics...I saw one of her turbans on Devina ...and of course I want one :))).
They look amazing and it seems turbans will be a fashion trend for the summer.
