I recently found out about Poketo, a super interesting design company. Co-founded by husband-and-wife team Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung, Poketo (pronounced poh-KEH-toe) got its name through Angie’s grandmother’s mispronunciation of “pocket.” Created in 2003, Poketo has grown from an upstart creative enterprise known for their limited-edition vinyl artist wallets to a leading lifestyle brand that retains its indie vibe.
Over the years, Poketo has been commissioned by Nike, MTV, Weezer, Arcade Fire, SF MoMA and many more to create exclusive lines stamped with Poketo’s signature fun and functional style.
To date, the shop collaborates with over 200 international artists to produce lifestyle wares that infuse art in daily living.
Below you can see some of the beautiful and unique Poketo’s wallets (and how the look outside and inside)...but Poketo sells also stationery, housewares, accessories, and apparel. You can visit http://poketo.com/shop/living to get a precise ideas of what is on sale!
