Flight attendants uniforms in the 1960s

While I was on my plane on the way back to Europe I could not stop looking at the flight attendants' uniforms on my US airways flight...and notice how ugly they were!!

I made a research on the internet and found out that actually in the 1960s and 1970s flight attendants had fabulous uniforms. Even the Seattle's Museum of Flight has recently dedicated a fashion show that takes a look at some of the iconic flight attendant uniforms of the past eight decades.
Style in the Aisle, is the name of the exhibition that includes items designed by Parisian designer Jean Louis, Italian designer Emilio Pucci, and Hollywood designer Oleg Cassini and represents the uniforms of 12 separate airlines - including some which stopped flying years ago, such as TWA.

I mean..look at his great uniforms..the ones worn today look so boring!!
