Greenland &Fashion

I recently came across these pics of beautiful sweaters and boots from Iceland...I love them. I like the patterns and the colours...

...but above all I find the Greenland Wax so interesting... it's indeed a wax you can rub on your clothes to make them wind-proof and waterproof .

In the early 1960’s after experimenting with ski- and bees wax on tent fabrics and trying different mixes, Åke Nordin arrived at a unique combination of paraffin and bees wax and the special waxed fabric was chosen for the tents and clothing tested in the 1966 Greenland Expedition. Since that time this perfect combination of wax has been known as Greenland Wax....(
