Szentendre. just 20 km from Budapest

Szentendre is a beautiful little village 20km from Budapest, where artists and galleries proliferate...it s worth going day on a daily trip from Budapest. You can reach it via Danube or by bus...we reached it by motorbike. It took us only 30 minutes!!!

  1. This handicraft on your pic is not local, I mean not from Szentendre. It is from Calata region (Kalotaszeg in Hungarian, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalotaszeg) which is in Transylvania, Romania. It is very typical to that region, and is called 'írásos' (written).

  3. Romania is very-very beautiful, it worth trying. There is a huge couchsurfer community speaking many languages.
