The Red or Dead - Caryn Franklin in conversation with Wayne Hemingway at the Museum of London

I ll be in London from tomorrow until the 5th of May for work reasons.
Having checked the website of Time Out London, I have just discovered that on the 4th of May form 7 to 8 pm Wayne Hemingway will give a speech at the Museum of London (www.museumoflondon.co.uk)..and I have obviously bought the ticket (after all 6 pounds is still reasonable!).

Wayne and his wife are the highly successful founders of Red or Dead which won the British Fashion Council’s “Street Style Designer of the Year” award three times in a row in the late 90’s.
They started with no money by selling their own clothes on Camden market one Saturday and before they knew it they had 16 stalls.

By 1983, they had opened an outlet in fashionable Kensington, London selling Geraldine's self-made clothes. That same year the first Red or Dead collection, inspired by Russian peasant clothing, was launched and was an immediate success with large orders from US department store Macy's.
In 1999 , having sold Red or Dead they set up HemingwayDesign, which specializes in affordable and social design.

Red or Dead website is amazing!! Take a look at   http://www.redordead.com/clothing
It sells almost everything from bags to shoes, spectacles and clothes...

I ll let you know if the speech was interesting or not. I have no idea how Wayne looks like in person!
