Yang Du - Falling in love is a risk

Yang Du is a Chinese surrealist fashion designer, who launched her own label YANG DU in 2009, having worked alongside John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood and Giles Deacon. Since then the label, designed to ‘blur the line between art and fashion’ has won many fans including Marina (and the Diamonds), Paloma Faith and Daisy Lowe.

Helen is incredibly young (or at least for me) she was born in 1989 and lives in Helsinki.
Since 2010 she has exhibited her pics in Munchen, Berlin, New York, London and Barcelona and has been working hard with stunning results.
I love her style and what she portrays...

Nic Webb - extraordinary wood worker and artist

I think there is indeed something special about the work of Nic Webb, an artist who is able to transform wood and create beautiful objects. UK based, Nic intends to pursue an organic approach to making, allowing materials to suggest him both form and narrative. He has exhibited in London, Hamburg, Antwerp, Chicago, Tokyo and Seoul and he organizes workshops and green woodworking courses. He is one of the artists included in the book The New Artisans by Olivier Dupon.

Grazia - old covers

I have been to the antiques market today in Bologna and I feel in love with 2 old issues of Grazia dated 1958. I paid them almost nothing (3 euro) and now I can 't get my eyes off of them..so enchanting, old style and fascinating...

Grazia was published for the first time in Italy in 1938 (interesting enough it was published in English only in 2005!)

Siberia Shop in Budapest

I am in Budapest now. I come here to spend a few relaxed days...as always when I am here I like to go and explore new, creative shops - which are actually growing in number day by day.
Yesterday I had a look at a shop called Siberia..it's a fantastic shop in Budapest city center- close to the synagogue- in Wesselényi u. 19.
The designer is Anna Zaboeva who is from Russia. She creates her shoe and boot collection from strange materials and shapes. Her shop is quite unusual, it is open until 11 pm and serves as an urban art gallery during the evening...it is worth taking a look!!
