Inspired by Sami
Swedish designer Emma Lundgren has a collection called 'Samilight' that's inspired by her Nordic roots and the Sami clothing. Cool thing about her pieces is that they're made from recycled and sustainable materials like wool, wood, cupcake molds

Back on track
Ages have passed since my last post..I am sorry about that. It's like I took a break from my blog..I don t know why...I just felt I had to do it.
when you run a blog you must have many interesting things to say....and I was simply running out of ideas.
The inspiration came back today. Here in Bologna it's gloomy and cold...and while I was looking for colours on the internet, I stumbled across Aida Coronado Mexican clothes...
they are just what is needed in a dark and cold day like today...and I love the patterns and combination of colours. Check this out www.aidacoronado.com and you won't repent :)

Fashion from recycled clothes - Arfur (Iceland)
I was struck by these pics...indeed...I think they are so beautiful...the clothes are by Aftur, an Icelandic brand established in 1999 which makes fashion from recycled clothing.
Aftur operates in Reykjavik, Iceland and maybe this is one of the many reasons why I love it sooo much. http://www.aftur.is/about/

Fish skin and Iceland
I am not a big fan of leather... but I was really struck by the beautiful objects - made of salmon, cod, wolffish skins- I saw in Iceland over the past week end... there are many artisans over there who can work fish skin making bags, shoes, bracelets, almost everything you can think of.
Huld is a nice brand..but surfing on the iternet I have realized there are many other brands who do amazing things out of fish skins...
So, let s go fishing (or maybe shopping - which is much easier :)

Copehagen cycles chic - ever thought how fashionable cycling can be?
Copenhagen is the most bike friendly I know about in Europe. Everyone- and I do mean everyone- goes by bike here. So no wonder someone thought of making a blog collecting beautiful pics of people going by bike.
The blog is called Copenhagen Cycle Chic. It's fab! I read it on a daily basis since I discovered it marvelling at impossibly chic ladies riding bikes and looking amazing. Many in high heels....
Anyway if you want to marvel at impossibly chic people riding bikes go have a look- it's great.

THE LOCALS- Fashion in Copenhagen
I love http://thelocals.dk/page/5/ which is a street style blog portraying the fashion on the streets of Copenhagen and the rest of the world - captured by Søren Jepsen, former photographer and co-creator of Copenhagen Streetstyle.
Maybe I should do the same in Bologna...well....I am not sure....

Mochilla bags --- Back to blogging
All right...I haven 't posted anything for almost a month..and I DO FEEL GUILTY.
But - like almost all Italians- I have been on holidays..I really needed a break so I didn't bring my laptop with me... and therefore didn't post a single thing in almost 26 days...
Anyway..now I am back to work, back to the daily routine, back to normal life...
While travelling this summer I have noted some interesting trends, like:
- Mochilla bags- the colorful handmade bags from Columbia seem to be a must...(although I think in Columbia they don t cost an eye, in Italy I have seen some of them at the price of 250 euro..OMG!)
- Swedish Hasbeens- the super nice Swedish clogs- are just another must...
Something I am totally fed up with are fluo colours, skulls (seriously, I had enough) and t shirts with holes which look second hand but are brand new instead :))
Anyway, for those of you who still don t know exactly how a Mochilla bag looks like...here are some pics..they can be bought online at http://wayuumochilabags.com/
COSTLY BUT TRENDY :)

Below is the tshirt I bought from them last Monday at the market at La Salara. My print is in red but the model is the same. Adorable!!
